Is the 2003 Mazda 6 s good in the snow?

by May
(North Dakota)

I am looking at buying a 2003 Mazda 6 s, but i am moving to North Dakota snow country and am worried about how they handle. I have heard front wheel drive cars are actually pretty good in snow with snow tires, but i am still not sure if thats right. Anyone have experience with them in large amounts of snow? Also, can anyone test to their reliability like high mileage or how many years they last and any major repairs needed? Thanks!

Mazda 6 is EXCELLENT!
by: David

I have a 2003 Mazda 6s. 5 speed. Traction control. I live in Erie, Pa. I get 140inches of snow a year on the lake. I put snow tires on my car and in 7 years have not gotten stuck once knock on wood. EXCELLENT car in the snow if you drive correctly. Can't go wrong. front wheel drives are the next best thing if you don't have 4wd. good luck!
