The interior has gained power windows and a redesigned wrap-a-round cockpit. Leaving no mistake that this is a completely redone and new Mazda 3!   • White-on-Black gauges with red nighttime illumination
  • Center instrument display panel (audio & clock)
  • Tilt/telescopic steering wheel

Engine:

The engine is the Sporty 2.0 liter DOHC 16-value 4-cylinder engine which produces 148 horsepower and 135 lb of torque. The importance of this is fantastic fuel economy as good as 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.

Transmission:

The 5 speed manual transmission is standard on the entry level. The 5 speed manual gives you the best fuel economy at 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. If you prefer or need an Automatic transmission, then you will need to move up to the Mazda 3 i Sport Sedan which has the Automatic as an optional transmission.
